Creating a sustainable chain
Colligating the economical, environmental and social interests of different groups and communities has been one of BERACA’S main endeavors. The word "linker" best describes the role the company has played among the Amazon communities.
With BERACA’S support and guidance, the Amazon inhabitants have been able to find alternative sources of income that guarantee their communities’ quality of life and the survival of the rainforest.
These pioneer projects integrate people and nature completely, respecting individual rights and, above all, the biodiversity of the region.
The building of the chain of custody begins with the research and development of the products. The millenary knowledge of the native inhabitants is taken into consideration and properly compensated by the BERACA specialists. This information is a priceless aid for unveiling the innovating characteristics of the forest’s raw materials.
After being tested in laboratories and going through a high-quality production process, unique products are placed on the market, with their natural and organic characteristics preserved.
A modus operandi that benefits the community, BERACA and their collaborators is the only way to ensure that the products will be extracted from the forest without any social or environmental impacts.
